Pretty Perfect

1. A.L.C | 2. Bernadette Pascua | 3. Jelle Martens

Have you ever seen such a clean and perfect bohemian style dress? I was talking with a co-worker this week about the perfection of A.L.C’s line. It’s so clean but still so feminine.

I feel the same way about Bernadette Pascua’s sketches. They are brilliantly simplistic. I’m also really enjoying Jelle Martin’s simplistic line and shape collages. It just goes to show how little is needed to convey a feeling, or a sense of space.

Baseball

Top: Madewell, Pants: J.Crew, Bag: Handbag Heaven, Shoes: Zara, Watch: Michael Kors, Rings: YSL and Meagan Reelitz, Necklace: Gold & Citrus, Belt: Vintage Linda Allard

Ok, I have to admit that I was laughing in the first picture because the sign that was pointing at me said exit only. Maybe I should take pictures there more often.

Despite this outfit being pretty dressy, it made me feel like a baseball player. The red, white, navy and stripes are what did it for me.

Madewell + FabSugar

Striped top: Madewell, Polka dot skirt: Madewell, Booties: Anthropologie, Necklace: Gold & Citrus

Lovely ladies: Punam, Angie, Eli, Santina, Margot

Tonight I went to the Madewell and FabSugar event here in SF and had a blast. It was the perfect mix of people – co-workers from Sugar and some of my favorite bloggers. They held a style competition where you create a look with anything in the store and are entered to win $200!

I didn’t win, but I did end up getting the striped top that I styled. It seems like a great basic and classic pattern that I can get a lot of wear out of.

January Birchbox

1. Origins Frothy Face wash | 2. VMV Hypoallergenics Lotion | 3. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy perfume | 4. Larabar – chocolate chip cookie dough | 5. Stila Smudge Sticke Waterproof Eye Liner

My favorite thing from this month’s Birchbox was definitely the Stila eyeliner. The color is a shade of blue/green that I’m really loving and is a fun change from my typical black eyeliner. The Origins face wash is pretty great too. I almost felt like I was putting on shaving cream that’s how thick and frothy it gets. Slightly weird, but very smooth and soothing at the same time.

The Juicy perfume is nice, but I am a little picky with scents. It’s a little too ‘sweet’ for me even though it does smell nice. The hypoallergenic lotion is really nice too. It’s a basic lotion with no scent, and I love that it can be used on both your face and body.

Vintage Influence

I just got this top from Heritage Row, one of my go-to boutiques in SF. I’m already obsessed with the vintage looking pattern and color.

Coat: Nasty Gal, Shirt: Collective Concepts from Heritage Row in SF, Skirt: Club Monaco, Shoes: Steve Madden, Ring: YSL, Necklace: Pamela Love, Purse: Kate Spade, Sunglasses: Prada

Sometimes the best part of the city is seeing it from a distance. It always amazes me how beautiful it is.

Getting ready

After Rich took these shots of me getting ready for New Years, I started wondering how much of our lives women actually spend getting ready to go out. I’m sure it’s a ton… but you know what, I’m ok with it. Getting ready with some great music and a glass of wine can actually be really fun.

These are some of the products that I’m a big fan of, or use on a daily basis. See them all here!

Moroccan

Images: rug, model, patio

I’ve been looking at a lot of Moroccan stuff lately for my apartment. I love all of the patterns, textures, and colors.

new year, new couch

Rich and I have loved this couch for a crazy long time, and we’re thinking it’s time to get it. We have fabric samples in our apartment, and everyday our favorite one changes. Which color should we go with?
